Established in the fall of 2023, AMP Performance is a 1,500 sq ft. private training studio located in the heart of Carlsbad, California. Our vision for AMP is to create a training environment centered around our clients' lifestyle needs and personal performance goals. We aim to provide the finest facilities and specialized programs to enhance our clients' overall well-being and athletic performance.

ABOUT
Roy Holmes, a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) and alumnus of Northern Arizona University, with over 20+ years of experience in training athletes of all levels. His career began as a Physical Therapy Aide at a small performance center in Scottsdale, Arizona. Roy's passion for sports and deep physiological understanding led to the establishment of CAP's successful sports performance program. His career progressed to roles such as Director of Performance and Performance Innovation at Velocity Sports Performance before joining EXOS (formerly Athletes' Performance) in 2011 as an Elite and Amateur Performance Specialist.
During his tenure at EXOS, Roy worked with athletes from various leagues and organizations such as the NFL, CFL, NBA, MLB, WTA, NWSL and NCAA. His expertise in movement and speed development has been showcased through his work with over 300 NFL combine and pro-day athletes, achieving multiple sub 4.4 and 4.3-second 40-yard dash times.
After nearly 12 years with EXOS, Roy founded his performance consulting company, N Phase Performance, where he worked with the House of Athlete in Miami, Florida. He later joined the USFL's Michigan Panthers and Philadelphia Stars as lead performance coach, overseeing 100 athletes' physical performance. Roy has since opened AMP Performance, where he is co-owner and the director of sports performance.

ABOUT
Cristina Valenzuela completed her undergraduate degree at UCSD in 2010, followed by her graduate Doctor of Physical Therapy degree at The University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences in 2015, where she graduated top of her class. Prior to starting her own business, Cristina was the Physical Therapy Manager at EXOS, a performance facility in Carlsbad, where she worked with professional, college, and high school athletes. She is a board certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist (OCS) and is an expert at identifying movement dysfunction, helping clients of all levels successfully achieve their goals and maximize their potential.
